from southern direction:
Follow motorway A 143 to exit »Halle-Neustadt / Halle-Zentrum«. Afterwards approximately 8 km on the B 80 in the direction of Halle, to  Rennbahnkreuz. At the city entrance, use the left lane to drive straight on from B 80 towards »Kröllwitz / Universität«. Follow this road until the next traffic light crossing.

At this crossing turn left into Blücherstraße direction »TGZ III / Finanzamt«. Follow the road for about 600 meters. Then turn right into Otto-Eißfeldt-Straße and follow the road to the Fraunhofer CSP building.


from northern direction:
(motorway A9, A14) leave the A9 at the exit Halle, the A14 at the exit »Halle-Peißen«, follow the signs to »Zentrum« and »Halle-Neustadt/Eisleben (Riebeckplatz)«, leave the street after crossing the bridge over river »Saale« at the exit »Gimritzer Damm« and follow the signs to »Magdeburg/Klinikum Kröllwitz/Universität (Weinbergweg)« until the next traffic light crossing.

At this crossing turn left into Blücherstraße direction »TGZ III / Finanzamt«. Follow the road for about 600 meters. Then turn right into Otto-Eißfeldt-Straße and follow the road to the Fraunhofer CSP building.

From main station Halle (Saale) take trams number 4 or 5 in direction »Kröllwitz« to »Gimritzer Damm« (12-15 min). Take bus No. 34 or 36 in direction »Heide« to »Otto-Eißfeldt-Straße« (2 min) and walk the street up to the institute. Alternatively, take tram 4 or 5 to »Weinberg Campus« (15-20 min). Go on walking on »Walter-Hülse-Straße«, turn left onto »Heinrich-Damerow-Straße«, keep left until you can see the institute straight ahead
(7 min).

From the airport Halle/Leipzig there is a train connection to Halle main station every 30 minutes. A drive by taxi  takes about 45 minutes.
